The Eagle plaque was hand-carved and painted by Penelakut artist, Delbert Peter. 

Eagle is known for being loyal animals full of lasting love, dedication, peace, and friendship.

Delbert is a Coast Salish carver from Penelakut (formerly Kuper) Island. Belonging to the Penelakut First Nation, the island is located in the southern Gulf Island chain in the Strait of Georgia, off the east coast of Vancouver Island.
