The print features Kumugwe the bighouse in K'omoks and was made by Geary Cranmer a Kwakwaka'wakw artist.
Geary was born in Comox, BC. He has been painting and carving off and on for many years. His family is from the Alert Bay area. Geary was taught the art of carving by his relatives Calvin Hunt and Tony Hunt. His paintings have been greatly influenced by friend and mentor, Bill Maximick. He has worked with Calvin Hunt and Mervyn Child on the Comox I-Hos canoe and the gift shop house front.
