Framed Art Card - Autumn Song
One of the delights of living in and around a temperate rainforest is being able to walk into the woods and hear its song. It’s amazing how the quiet of the day gives way as the forest slips into darkness. Evenings that start quietly eventually culminate in a cacophony of sounds. By far the most vocal in this symphony is the Pacific Tree Frog.
The Pacific Tree Frog is a small frog whose territory spans the area of southern British Columbia south as far as Mexico. It is a ground dwelling frog found in grasslands and woodland forests near fresh water. Its call can be heard from as much as a half mile away and is often used by Hollywood movie producers to add ambience to tropical film environs. This print represents the frog singing its final song before entering hibernation.
