Cedar Basket with Rose

These gorgeous cedar bark baskets were handmade by Sechelt & K'omoks artist Tanisha Frank-Pielle

Tanisha Frank-Pielle from Sechelt Band. Tanisha’s Mom is Sechelt and K'omoks First Nation and her Dad was from Homalco First Nation. Tanisha harvests all her own cedar and does it in the highest, respectful and traditional manner possible. Tanisha started weaving at the young age of 7 years old, helping her mother with harvesting and workshops.

 Significance to the Cedar Rose: Can be found in lots or territories  where cedar is used. Cedar is sacred and so is the rose.
