So the exact same paint that's on the Raven and Wolf Bowl is on this feather that has the abalone inlay, and this is straight paint. On the feather, what I did was in a little container, a dollar store container, I put two parts paint, one part water, and it was probably I don't know, 15, 20mL container, mixed it up, stirred it up, and then brushed it on really quick and then wiped it off. So what happens when you feel this, you'll feel the grain, it's just a little bit raised, that's the water content that makes it swell, that's why that effect has, and then you look in between the grain, much like on the Swan, when you get close to it you'll see that there was an ever subtle sanding on the very top, just to make that grain pop up, and the raised part, the tan colour, is the grain and the dark part is actually the pulp, that's the growth between each year of bark.
