The Eagle totem was hand-carved and painted by Kwakwaka'wakw artist, Joe Johnny.

Eagle is loyal and full of love, dedication, peace, and friendship.

Joe Johnny started carving in 1977. He learned from his uncle Charlie G. Walkus, as well as other carvers from Victoria to Alert Bay. He now carves with his son, Morris Johnny in Port Hardy, BC.
