Bear symbolizes power, strength, healing, thoughtfulness, and willpower.
Eagle is loyal and full of love, dedication, peace, and friendship.
Frog lives in both the land and water worlds, bringing great wealth and is known for their adaptability, knowledge, and power.
Whale symbolizes great strength, bravery, family, and unity.
Raven is the curious trickster responsible for putting the sun, moon, and stars into the sky. This light bringer represents prestige and knowledge.
Bentwood boxes were made to hold history, store regalia and other treasured items. These boxes of treasure help preserve ancestors' legacies. Another distinguishing aspect is their construction - traditionally they were steamed then bent
The body of the container is constructed using only a single piece of West Coast cedar.

Shain Jackson is a Coast Salish artist from the First Nation community of Sechelt. He is also a lawyer who has represented Aboriginal communities throughout British Columbia.
