The Sisiutl or Sea Serpent plaque was hand-carved and painted by Kwakiutl artist, Sarah Robertson.

Sisiutl is a three-headed serpent with shapeshifting abilities and powers that turn spectators to stone once looked upon. As one of the most powerful symbols, it represents protection, supernatural power, and revival.
