Plaque - Salmon (Brown with Abalone)

The Salmon plaque was hand-carved and painted by Nanoose artist, Brian Bob. It is made out of cedar and has abalone inlays.

Salmon is the giver of life, prosperity, and new beginnings.

Brian Bob is a member of the Nuu-chah-nulth (Nootka) First Nation on Vancouver Island. He is known for his wood creations, truly keeping the tradition of his peoples in mind. He clearly loves his art and is constantly developing new designs.
