Plaque - Painted Wolf

The Wolf plaque was hand-carved and painted by Tsawataineuk artist, Jackson Robertson. It was made with cedar and abalone shell inlay.

The Wolf is seen as the protector. Wolves always travel in packs and have strong family ties.

Jackson Roberston is a Master Carver from the Northwest coast of Canada, British Columbia. He has been carving mainly yellow and red cedar for over 40 years. His Tribal affiliation is the Tsawataineuk First Nation from Kingcome Inlet, BC but he lived most of his life in Nanaimo.
