The Hummingbird Rattle was hand-carved and painted by Coast Salish artist, Norman Mitchell. Rattling at a lower pitch, it doesn't pierce the ears like higher pitched rattles do. It has a softer, warmer sound.
Hummingbird brings comfort, beauty, and love to those in their life and is considered to be the bringers of good luck and fortune.

Norm Mitchell is a Coast Salish artist who is a highly motivated self taught carver. He loves to carve. He takes the time to teach three of his family members the art of carving. He also volunteers his time in the schools to teach the children about his culture.
