The Golden Eagle plaque was hand-carved and painted by Coast Salish artist, Norman Mitchell.

Eagles are loyal animals full of lasting love, dedication, peace and friendship.

Norm Mitchell is a Coast Salish artist who is a highly motivated self taught carver. He loves to carve. He takes the time to teach three of his family members the art of carving. He also volunteers his time in the schools to teach the children about his culture.
