Alanna Mitchell

Alanna is a member of the K’omoks First Nation and currently resides in the territory of the Kanien’kehà (Montreal). An avid beadwork artist, she creates beaded earrings, lanyards, and hats using beads sourced from a local Kanien’kehà bead store. Her beadwork is primarily influenced by the Kanien’kehà territory, where she first learned the art and developed her appreciation for its techniques and traditions. Recently, Alanna has expanded her artistic practice by learning to work with metals, including copper and silver.
