Red Glass Bead
Artist: I-Hos Gallery
'Red' glass beads were a valued trade item during the fur trade era on the Pacific Northwest Coast. The beads were made in glass factories in Bohemia and shipped across Russia to China, then shipped to Alaska and traded down the coast.
Reproduction beads, like this one are available today and allow everyone to experience a little bit of Northwest Coast History.
Measurements: 3/8" x 3/8" x 3/8" (Approximately, each bead is not perfect and may vary in size.)
