Mask - Eagle Headdress
Kwakwaka'wakw First Nation artist Karver Everson hand carved and hand painted this impressive Eagle headdress mask. The mask is perfectly adorn with cedar and the eyes with Copper and the mask is painted with acrylic paint.
The Eagle is a very high ranking crest within Kwakwaka'wakw culture. The Eagle was the first to feast and theres often an Eagle Chief for each family. Copper was used for the eyes on this mask, in Kwakwaka'wakw culture it is often associated with prestige and wealth.
Eagle is a symbol of peace and friendship. They are loyal animals full of lasting lover and dedication.
