Small Woven Basket - Two in Canoe & Whale
The weavers of the Nuu-chah-nulth Nation produce some of the finest and most delicately woven pieces from split cedar bark and swamp grass. The bark and grasses are harvested, soaked and split to create baskets, hats, trays and more.
The grass is dyed and woven to depict two people in a black and pink canoe on one side and a whale on the other with a purple and yellow border
