Rattle - Raven With Stand

This miraculous Raven rattle is hand crafted and hand painted by Squamish First Nation artist Peter Wayne Gong. The eye of the Raven is accented with abalone. The rattle has a stand that is painted and the rattle handle is wrapped beautifully with black cord.

Ravens are creatures whose curiosity often gets the best of them. Raven is responsible for putting the sun, moon and stars into the sky. Also symbols of prestige and knowledge.

Rattles or shakers are an instrument that is used in sweat lodge and healing ceremonies, community songs or a moment of reflection and connection on a walkabout or journey.
