Plaque - Orca, Eagle, Seal and Sea Monster

Artist: Alfred Crocker

Coast Salish First Nation artist Alfred Crocker hand carved and painted this incredible Eagle and Salmon yellow cedar plaque. The eyes of the Eagle and Salmon are accented with Abalone.

The whale is a symbol of great strength, bravery, family and unity.

The Eagle is a loyal animal who mate for life and are often seen as symbols of peace and friendship.

The Seal is symbol for curiousity, creativity and imagination.

Sisiutl is a supernatural three headed serpent that possesses powerful shape shifting abilities, and when looked at turned spectators into stone.  Not only can the Sisiutl change shape into a human or animal it can change its shape into a self propelled canoe fed by seals.

Abalone healing carries energies of protection and emotional balance. It brings with it a natural shielding that blesses the person holding it with tranquility.
