This Bear paw plaque is hand painted and hand carved by Penelakut Island First Nation artist Delbert Peter. This plaque is carved from red Cedar finished with varnish and with acrylic paint and features a Salmon inside the bear paw.

The bear is seen as power, strength and healing. Bear is also seen as thoughtful and strong willed.
Salmon is seen as the giver of life, salmon represents prosperity and new beginnings.
