Mask - Bear

This spectacular Bear mask was hand carved by Alert Bay Kwakwaka'wakw artist Gilbert Dawson. He has been carving since 1955.

Painted with acrylic paints and hand carved from Cedar.

The Bear is a guardian, protector and elder kinsman.
